This flower is able to grow from the darkness and muck to rise above the surface and bloom in full brilliance; clean and perfect.
We see this as symbolic of the experience that many individuals and organizations have when they begin to examine their own energy use and energy resources. For many, this is not something that has been of immediate concern until recent times.
Whether stimulated by environmental concerns regarding the use of fossil fuels, or financial concerns with increasing and unstable energy costs, or even concerns with the basic reliability of energy supply (blackouts becoming more common) when critical loads are on the line; we are all given cause to re-consider the methods by which our energy is supplied.
This newfound perspective or understanding regarding energy use will be the blossom of our generation, and it will be for the benefit of future generations to come.
